Me Talk Pretty One Day is by comedian David Sedaris, mostly centered around growing up gay in North Carolina and living as an American in France.  In both cases there were problems speaking like everyone around you.  There were some very funny chapters (each chapter told a story from his life), but overall, it seemed uneven, especially the chapters that had nothing to do with how you talked.  Like many books, it needed a better editor.
